Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas with lots of family, lots of food and lots of fun. Olivia enjoyed it all, from the parties to the cookies and of course the presents. I am just going to post a few pics for you all to see. Hope you all had a really wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season.

Olivia helped decorate cookies for Santa. I think Santa really liked them.Putting them out for Santa was fun but Olivia really wanted to eat them or at least take a little bit first.Christmas morning was loads of fun. Olivia took her time opening gifts and actually waited to open some of them after naptime!

Olivia in her little red Christmas dress. My favorite part is that you can see her worn off tatoos and GREEN undershirt she insisted on wearing!

Merry Christmas from Ian, Felicia and Olivia.

Ginger Bread House

This one deserved a post of its own, it was just too funny. As I mentioned, Grandmama is here on vacation and Olivia is keeping her busy. Today, they made or rather decorated a gingerbread house. It was lots of fun, Olivia loved it.
It started out with just a taste of the icing...
A lick from Grandmama's finger...
Touching the icing on the house and licking her own fingers...

Taking a lick from the house itself...

Ok, maybe another lick or two...

The proud accomplishment at the end, what a lovely house...
Maybe just another lick!!

Christmas fun

From parties to gingerbread houses, Grandmama visiting and more parties, Olivia is starting to think that December is one big "Happy Birthday". Although she is learning to sing "Jingle Bells", she still sings "Happy Birthday" at most of the parties.

Again, because I have been so long in between posts, I will offer you a montage of pictures with a little narration...
We rarely get a picture of just Ian and myself so we thought we better go for it before the party along with the picture of the spread!
This is Olivia at the end of the party, looking a little disheveled and maybe ready to pack her bags and go?Olivia enjoyed dinner with Auntie Brenda at a party at Auntie Pat and Uncle Phil's house. As usual, she had a great time.
Pretty baby all partied out.

Tis the Season

We have already been busy with Christmas parties for Olivia. Last weekend was the Inglewood Kids' Christmas party and today was the Daycare's Christmas party. Both included Santa - whom Olivia would have nothing to do with - and both included a really nice gift.

She gets really exceited about going to the party to see Santa, but when he shows up its really a different story. I am not sure we will get a picture with him this year. This is about how close we got to Santa...
But she didn't mind enjoying the present...
In the true Christmas season fashion, it has snowed and it is cold...
At today's party, Olivia enjoyed seeing her friends from "school" - especially Marissa. They opened presents together...
And after all the partying and playing and running and dancing and eating "kee cups" (cupcakes), Olivia came home with her toy and wanted to be "naked!" So, she took off her dress and shirt and says "I naked"!
Tatoo and all, she's a litte mess!!!

Olivia turns 2!!!!

Its amazing how fast two years can go by! Olivia is offically a 2-year old in every sense of the word. For those of you dying for birthday pictures...here they are.

Party preparations included liking the cake batter off the beaters, as Stephanie and I used to say we wanted to lick the "cake beater".
We held Olivia's party on Sunday morning but before that we gave her her toy kitchen from Mommy and Daddy, she loves it.
Then it was time to get ready for the party. We had an animal safari theme and she loved all the decorations. Daddy blew up lots of balloons which made Rascal crazy. The food was of the Mexican flavor with 7-layer dip, fresh guacamole and cheese quesedillas! I LOVE this picture of Olivia...picking the black olives off the 7-layer dip...
We opened presents first - the birthday girl was ready!
The rest of these are just the kids eating cake and loving it. It was so much fun, Olivia had a good time and loved all her really fun gifts.

Our family picture, as good as it gets, we always forget to have someone take a picture of the 3 of us, oh well.

Croup

Ugh, is all I can say. Olivia hasn't been feeling well for about a week now. She went to school on Tuesday and they said she just wasn't herself, she only ate one sausage and NO pancakes for lunch. Wednesday we tried again but when I called to check how she was doing, they said she was outside laying on the playground crying!! I went to get her and she looked so sad. We had a doctor's appointment in the afternoon and she said she has croup! CROUP! With that barking cough and a little fever by then, she was not her usual cheerful self.

I thought this was a "desease" of the past or just for all the babies in the movies, but no, it is real and it sucks! Olivia has been just miserable to the point of crying and making herself worse. "Nooo" means "yes" and "yes" means, "leave me alone mommy". Mommy is on the verge of losing her mind, however we have been doing a few things to keep ourselves occupied in the awake hours.
This is Olivia going outside for some cold air to help her breathe, you can see that she is not so sure this is what she wants to do. Although, mommy does have her completely color coordinated!!
I deciede some painting would be a great way to occupy both of us, after all its in our blood to enjoy the fine arts. The progression of this is hilarious just see for yourself...

The final product. A work or art! Luckily baths have been a lifesaver during this time too!

Party fun and trick or treating

Halloween was a great success. Olivia had lots of fun. They had a party at daycare - everyone dressed up and when I got there they were dancing to ABBA.
Olivia was a happy little lady bug...waiting for the "city bus".
Then there was the anticipation of the trick or treating, looking for the kids!!
Then it was time to go...she trick or treated with her friend Charlotte...
and then it was Daddy lets go...And lets don't forget the prize at the end, eating the goods. She didn't go for the chocolate, she didn't go for the suckers, or even the m&m's, she went for and LOVED the Nacho Cheese Doritos!!! How funny. Rascal wanted his share, but there were no carrots so he just had to wait til we made into the kitchen for his treat.
This was so fun, we have lots of pictures, of course here are just a few more.
