Spaghetti Dinner

I think it was way more fun to play with than what actually got in her mouth as nourishmnet. But we will definitly try spaghetti again soon, because one thing she loved was the chunks of tomato in the sauce!!

Olivia's First Day

Today Olivia spent a few hours at her new Daycare. We are easing ourselves into this new adventure but Olivia seemed to do just fine. She started playing right away. Mommy stuck around for a while and then headed to another room and then out the door. So, which one of us do you think was crying?? Although I missed her this morning, I am glad that she had such a good time. I picked her up before lunch and she was happy to see me with lots of hugs and snuggles. We came home and had a good lunch and a little play with Rascal and then she went down for a 2 1/2 hour nap!!

This evening she showed us that she missed her toys as well as one of her new talents - climing up on things - by getting right up on the table with them...

We have been really busy lately unloading a bunch of stuff we got from Arkansas. One of the items we recieved was this rocking chair that was mine when I was a little girl. It was given to me on my 1st birthday! Olivia just loves it and gets in and out of it all morning long. She even puts some little stuffed animals in the seat with her. Much to my dismay, she also insists on standing up in it!!! She is so adventurous. She climbs up on all the chairs now and hikes that little leg of hers up like she is going to keep on climbing. If there is a table close by she trys to go from the chair to the table! I can't believe it. Its amazing to watch her try to figure it out.

Olivia still hasn't taken that first step yet, but I can't imagine that it will be too long now.

Our Little Italian Girl

Luckily everyone in my family saves everything! But in this case it has brought back some really fond memories. In these pictures Olivia is wearing a little sweater that my Nonna knitted for me when I was a little girl! I just love it on her and I even bought the shirt she is wearing underneath just so it would match.

It reminded me of how much my sister and I loved to get the sweaters from Nonna (or anything from our Italian family was just so cool). I think I still have all of them, the sweaters that is. My favorite one is from when I was 10; we went and picked out the colors together. It was blue and yellow and had a few rows of gold dividing the two colors and little pom poms at the bottom where it tied like a draw sting. I loved that sweater and I loved my Nonna!!

I think that Olivia looks like a Trimarchi in this picture and that makes her our little Italian girl!

This is also a sweet little picture of Olivia and her "Baby". And it is officially her first word..."Baby".
